Error When Adding Domain
Getting an error when adding a domain could be because of one or more of these scenarios:
- The domain you are attempting to add already exists in Divertly
- The domain is on our domain denylist. See Forbidden Domains
- The domain is not formatted correctly
- The domain is too long. Domains have a total length of 253 characters, with each domain segment having a maximum length of 63 characters.
If the domain you are trying to add already exists in Divertly it could be for one of the following reasons:
- Someone else has already set up the domain in their account. If you are the domain owner, ask around your organization to make sure no one else has set up the domain already.
- The domain was set up at one time but has since been deleted from Divertly. Right now, you are not able to re-use domains for security reasons. Please contact our support team if you believe this is the case.
- The domain you are trying to add is not eligible to be used with Divertly. For example, a domain ending in .gov.
If you still require assistance setting up your domain, please contact our support team.
